ABOUT

the breeder

Hello and welcome! My name is Beth, and it’s my privilege to wear not just one but two meaningful hats in life: one as a midwife and the other as a breeder of Australian Labradoodles. While these roles might seem worlds apart, in my humble opinion they share one of the most important common threads there is—guiding families through life-changing transitions with heart, humour, and continuous support.

As a midwife, I help families navigate the life-altering arrival of a new baby, offering expertise and compassion as they adjust to their "new normal." In actual fact, bringing a puppy home isn’t so different. Puppies change everything—and they need nurturing, patience, and love to thrive. I provide the same level of care and guidance to the families welcoming one of my Labradoodles, ensuring a smooth and joyful transition. One of the greatest joys of breeding is building lasting relationships with my puppy families. Unlike midwifery, where my role concludes once families find their footing, I have the pleasure of staying in touch, watching these Labradoodles grow and thrive.

WHO

WHAT'S IMPORTANT

to me

Breeding Australian Labradoodles is a responsibility I take seriously. These dogs are intelligent, loving, low to non-shedding with the most wonderful zest for life, making them the ideal companion for a number of different lifestyles, whether you’re young, seasoned with life experience, covered in children, child-free, a city-dweller or countryside rambler.

While some may view them as a crossbreed, I see these gorgeous dogs as a thoughtfully considered breed in development, created with a specific purpose in mind—not just a poodle cross with no real thought to the breeds combined and potential their outcomes. I value the rigorous health testing and balanced focus on aesthetics, temperament, and health required by breed clubs like WALA (of which I am a member), aligning perfectly with my commitment to ethical breeding.

To ensure my puppies are well-prepared for their future homes, I’ve committed to continuous professional development. Since completing my Master’s in Midwifery, I’ve now undertaken the iPet Level 3 Diploma in Dog Breeding, Litter Socialisation, and Welfare. This training enhances my ability to provide the best start for my puppies, from health screenings to early enrichment.

In my opinion, the Australian Labradoodles’ adaptable personalities make them just perfect for modern life. They’re as happy lounging on the sofa as your work-from-home buddy as they are running and playing outdoors. Unlike traditional working breeds, their energy levels are manageable for today’s families, retirees, or young professionals.

HOW IT WORKS

at Lily Hill

Although I run my business solo, my parents occasionally lend a hand with puppy care and socialisation. Their support reflects the family values that underpin my work, but every aspect of the program is overseen by me with meticulous care. I am also very lucky to be able to call on all of my wonderful guardians, their children, and my maternity colleagues to introduce my pups to a wide variety of people and children of all ages prior to your puppy coming home.

Heart, humour, and professionalism are at the core of everything I do. Thank you for considering one of my Labradoodles to join your family. I look forward to supporting you on this exciting journey!
